Legislative Affairs Committee

The Legislative Affairs Committee monitors state and federal issues that impact the Northland and  advises our elected representatives of the Chamber’s position on proposed and existing legislation. This committee meets the third Friday of each month at noon at Trezo Mare in Briarcliff.

Parks & Recreation Committee

The Parks & Recreation Committee promotes the establishment and enhancement of parks and recreational opportunities in the Northland in an effort to improve the quality of life for those living in the region. This committee meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at Riverside City Hall.

Planning & Development Committee

The Planning & Development Committee investigates and monitors infrastructure development in the Northland and makes recommendations to the Chamber Board of Directors for specific action and stances. This committee also participates in City Manager meetings and Mayors’ Forums, and communicates with elected city and county officials. The Planning & Development Committee meets the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7:30 a.m. at Riverside City Hall.

Membership Services Committee

The Northland Chamber is the most well-rounded, unified voice working to improve quality of life in the Northland. We give our members opportunities to network with business leaders throughout the Northland and make connections that will add value to their business. We also give our members the opportunity to be involved in the things that impact the communities they live and work in through our committees and regional advocacy efforts.

Ambassador Committee

The Ambassador Committee serves as an extension of the Northland Chamber, welcoming new members and greeting current members and guests at our monthly events. This committee delivers new member packets each month to our new members and attends ribbon cuttings and grand openings of new and current Chamber members. The Ambassador Committee meets the first Thursday of the month at 11:30 a.m. at a member restaurant.

Golf Tournament Committee

The Golf Tournament Committee plans and hosts the Chamber’s annual Golf Tournament in July.

Auction Committee

The Auction Committee plans and hosts the Chamber’s annual Auction in November.

We are the premier chamber in the Northland and in the Kansas City area, the single most effective group that impacts quality of life in the region.

Leadership Northland Committee

The Leadership Northland Committee is made up of Leadership Northland Alumni who help plan and improve the Northland Chamber’s leadership programs. This committee provides a format for ongoing communication and collaboration among emerging & established leaders with a goal of improving our leadership programs. The Leadership Northland Committee meets on the fourth Monday of the month at noon, July through April.

Education Committee

The Education Committee promotes and advances positive relationships and partnerships between education and business to enhance the quality of education in the Northland. This committee is involved in events such as the Excellence in Education Banquet, Educator’s Luncheon and other educational programs. The Education Committee meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 11:30 a.m. at Partners In Education businesses, September through May.
